It is an organization composed by media experts, teachers and social leaders, specialized in creating, designing, executing and evaluating advocacy strategies to generate changes in order to get development for people.
From multi-discipline vision it looks for creative solutions for current problems and shows innovative alternatives to get them real.
This concept is briefly exposed in our slogan – Changing History.
After six years operating as a publisher specialized on environmental issues, we consider we got experience to operate in any issue, provided that it is focused on sustainable development promotion, human potential development with peace and respect, and considering person’s integrity as physical, spiritual and collective being.
In this way it promotes or goes next to processes focused in generating change in mind but in communities’ fate.
It is divided in two autonomous areas and a subsidiary:
FACTORTIERRA Advocacy: Work division specialized in designing, executing and evaluating advocacy strategies by own initiative or in charge of others. It merges acknowledge in strategic planning and development communication to get sustainable results for each project:
FACTORTIERRA @ CAMPUS: Project focused on research promotion and working with new generations of professionals and researchers to empower leaders who favour their regions development, even if they live or grown up there. It has three projects:
i. Mentors: Students from first years of Peruvian universities are adopted by professionals anywhere in the world to go together along their carriers as referrals and advisors. Students will be selected based on leadership attitude shown before or currently. Research works and results are shared with our organization.
ii. Researchers: It offers a in-Piura research topics list for abroad professionals or students with condition to share them with FACTORTIERRA. In exchange we offer access to contacts, databases, housing, feeding, safety and a spare time activities program.
iii. Interchange: It sees for possibilities to get Mentors Program’s members making temporary studies abroad, previous qualification by mentors and FACTORTIERRA crew.
Creative Manifestations: Training project focused on people knowing in perspective reality of their communities to adopt a position and to propose a a development alternative or solution, using art and culture as expression. This innovative program wants people looking themselves’ best to expose it as potential to grow. This three-week program merges legal training, media and art. We’re negotiation this project.
Ecotouristic revaluation: A project to generating ecotourism in Piura for people values its land’s riches not to damage them but to protect them, but in the same time, they become a job source for them. Developing project
FACTORTIERRA Network: Communication division specialized on sustainable development, human rights and personal promotion issues from a social and political perspective. It is exclusively dedicated to produce news contents for different displays, being Internet the most important.
Factortierra: association’s top website and where all our history begins. Created for making advocacy about so-called Tambogrande issue.it is now the worldwide referral specialized in development projects and their impact over environment. It proposes they might not go on if they put in risk Piura’s fragile ecosystem.
Factortierra2: website’s English version with original features. Eventually contents from both sites are fed to CCDHAL in Canada for translating and publishing in French.
Factortierra News: website containing our Yahoo! Group where we publish breaking news that go to people previously subscribed by e-mail. It works 24/7.
Bioespacio: website specialized on ecotourism and healthy lifestyles focused on alternative therapies and personal growth. It scans for new spaces, ideas and living forms in tune with space, body and mind.
Campus: FACTORTIERRA @ CAMPUS’ website orientated to education, academic research, and art and culture issues. It wants to be an information and exchange source for students, researchers and teachers.
NPC Comunicaciones: work division specialized on multiplemedia features production, managing and marketing for association’s products or hired by others. It uses those assignments to fund FACTORTIERRA Network without influence on editorial contents. It also promotes commercial strategies for others and communication solutions in all level.
